I think it would be a great improvement for armor switching. Say...you have chaos gloves on your mesmer....and hate playing mesmer after a while and want chaos gloves on your ele, or monk....but don't have the money... If you could just pop it in your storage and hand it over to your other char...that would be awesome.
There MUST be a limit though. I think you should NEED to have Rank 5 Deldrimor and be level 20 before that character may use them. And as for Obi armor, the character you want obi armor with MUST have completed FoW at least once.
I believe you should not be able to hand over armor to other people (trade/sell/buy) I think it should only be account based.

GW has one of the most forgiving armor/weapon systems ever. Most MMOs bind equipment to you the moment your character equips it or picks it up off the ground. You don't know how good you already have it.

What you're trying to say in this post and what you were trying to say in the original post are two different things.
In the original post, you were suggesting that elite armor should be trade-able. Meaning the armor could be worn by characters from a different account, thus opening a market for armor sales.
Here, you're saying that armor should be allowed to be transferred from one character to another within the same account. Even though the pieces of armor can be transferred, they cannot be transferred from account to account. Because of this, people won't be selling elite armor.

Because of this, only the people who made the effort to run out and earn the armor before level 20 have them. With what the OP proposed, anyone that has access to some money will have level 1 characters with elite armor.

If a level 1 char has money to buy Fow in the first place. Obviously they have another char that they use to make money -.-
Fow armor is already extremely expensive, if it were tradeble the price wouldn't go down

No. Armor is NPC-crafted only so that the price is at least somewhat constant, a rarity in this game. If armor were player-crafted and sellable, prices would fluctuate as greatly as they do on any other commodity. I can't see how this is good for players trying to acquire nice sets of elite armor.

I like the idea of being able to turn in armour to a crafter for a full gold and material return. Be nice to be able to change stuff like that.
I don't like trading armour idea.

The current system is fine.
The only change I would support is if you had to re-customize it at a crafter that make that exact armor for the original gold cost.
If someone sold you an obsidian armor, you'd actually have to go to the forgemaster and shell out 15k per piece. It would still have to be profession specific, of course.

Guys, forget your pride! For what do you have to be proud of? If YOU have the money and want elite armor for another character (e.g. warrior) you cannot get to because it's to hard, you should be able to transfer the armor to your other character you want the armor for. This should only be account based. Not trade-able to account to account (or other people to other people. And if it were tradable, even so....armor cost WOULD NOT change. Have you EVER gotten elite armor that isn't 15K a piece? Of course not (unless its EotN) Prices of armor don't change as does mats...

While I do like the idea, it will have too much impact on the game and the virtual economy.

If they pay the money for it i dont see why not.
Especially if a player bought his fow armor for 800k i highly doubt he will sell it for 2k to a lvl 1 char. It would be easy for those who have the money and if they have that much money they obviously have another char they use

Exactly! This is why I think it's an awesome idea that will pass for GW and GW 2. I do not however like that armor can be traded acc wise. This gives hackers a MUCH easier way of making money. Also I think that they should have 2 passwords instead of 1, that way you definitely can't get hacked...in fact.....ima make a new thread

its not like it wouldnt be an accomplishment to get 15k armor. a whole set would probably be sold for more than it was paid for because the person buying it was probably doing so because they didnt have access to it. and to have enough money to buy they must have accomplished something important.
so dont say it would be too easy to get elite armor

Like... create a warrior in Faction, level up to 20 in 6 hours and farm vermin until getting 100k.
It may not be the best farm, but it still gets 2..10k per run in NM, and celestial items drop in the Skyway.

The part I especially like, is that you can sell armor for full price+materials.
